Cruise Coordinator: Riverboats at the Gateway Arch ($18.34/hr $500 Hiring Incentive)
The Riverboats at the Gateway Arch are looking for individuals who are seeking a career on the water! As the Cruise Coordinator, you will be primarily responsible for the welfare and comfort of all guests on the Becky Thatcher and Tom Sawyer riverboats as they navigate up and down the Mississippi River. This is a supervisory position. Please see the following details regarding the position expectations, skills, and requirements.

- Be prompt and accountable when you are scheduled to work.

- Maintain an alert, professional appearance even when not actively engaged with guests.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise a team of servers, bartenders, and/or cashiers on private charters, dinner cruises and other events, ensuring a seamless and enjoyable experience for passengers
- Work closely with guests (private charters) to understand their needs and preferences, ensuring all details are executed accurately.
- Oversee the setup and breakdown of cruises, ensuring all areas are prepared according to specifications made by management or guests (private charters).
- Coordinate with kitchen staff to ensure timely and accurate food and beverage service.
- Handle any issues or emergencies that arise during cruises with professionalism and efficiency.
- Provide training and support to staff, ensuring high standards of service and professionalism.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines including complying with health and sanitation regulations.
- Maintain knowledge of pricing, menu items, and general cruise information.
- Participate team meetings and training sessions.
- Monitor and work to achieve daily, weekly, and monthly sales goals at all Points of Sale.
- Engage incoming and departing guests in a warm, genuine and friendly manner, answer guest inquiry line, provide directions, and help maintain cleanliness and organization of dock when working as a greeter.
- Assist with stocking and restocking supplies as necessary in the gift shop, dry storage, coolers, etc.
Requirements:
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Must pass alcohol and drug screening.
- Must pass background check.
- Must pass math proficiency questionnaire (located in employee application).
- Must have some supervisory experience in the food and beverage industry.
- Willing to work on a moving vessel in water and outdoors (hot and cold environments).

- Exceptional guest service skills

- Ability to learn pricing, menu items, and general cruise information
- Ability to perform all Food & Beverage positions on the boat
- Ability to learn all opening and closing procedures
- Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Safety-oriented
- Able to carry/lift up to 50lbs
- Able to work in a standing position for 3 hours continuously and up to 9 hours per day
- Ability to continuously carry trays/plates up and down stairs
- Able to bend and stoop
$500 Hiring Incentive
- 1st payment - $150 following successful completion of 30 days of employment
- 2nd payment - $150 following successful completion of 90 days of employment
- 3rd payment - $200 following successful completion of 150 days of employment
*Employees must work at least 15.5 hours per week to be eligible

Typical Summer Season (Memorial Day to Labor Day) Hours of Operation are 7 a.m. to 1 a.m.
Typical Winter Season (Labor Day to Memorial Day) Hours of Operation are 7 a.m. to 1 a.m.
Closed on Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day, and New Year’s Day
Busiest Times of the Year:
- Memorial Day Weekend
