This position provides classroom and on-the-road driving support for students of the Truck Driving Program. The Truck Driving Lab Assistant reinforces learning material and skills introduced by the instructor, assists the instructor with on-the-road driving supervision of student drivers, and helps students prepare for the commercial driver’s license and road test.Resume must reflect all minimum qualifications. Please enter your experience in chronological order, including the month and year of employment.Minimum Qualifications Post-secondary or industry certificate/diploma/degree or relevant licensure in Truck Driving ORrelevant licensure Truck Driving AND One year of teaching /tutoringexperience in Truck Driving at the high school level or above OR4 years of work experience in Truck Driving where no degree / certificate/ diploma / licensure is required ORAn equivalent combination of education and work experience. Valid Class “A” commercial driver’s license (CDL).Valid Department of Transportation (DOT) physical health card.Must successfully pass a drug and alcohol screening.Preferred Qualifications Effective communication skills, including the ability to sufficiently explain and assist students with successful completion of the truck driving program.Bilingual/multilingual fluent in Spanish, Somali, Karen, Anuak, Nuer, or other languages that reflect our student body, workforce, and communities.Demonstrated experience working with multicultural and underserved populations.
