Position Summary:
We are seeking a dynamic, results-driven Outside Sales Representative to join our team and expand our market presence as a distributor of broadband materials. The ideal candidate will be responsible for generating new business, managing existing customer relationships, and providing expert knowledge of broadband products to clients in the telecommunications industry. This role requires frequent travel and interaction with customers to understand their needs and offer tailored solutions to meet their broadband infrastructure requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Sales Growth: Develop and execute a sales strategy to acquire new customers and expand sales within existing accounts, driving revenue growth.
- Client Relationship Management: Cultivate and maintain strong, long-term relationships with key clients, prospects and vendor representatives in the broadband and telecommunications sectors.
- Product Knowledge: Act as a product expert in broadband materials, including fiber optic cables, connectors, hardware, and related equipment. Provide technical support and guidance to customers to help them make informed purchasing decisions.
- Market Research: Monitor industry trends, competitive activity, and customer needs to identify new opportunities for growth and product development.
- Sales Presentations and Proposals: Conduct product demonstrations, presentations, and meetings with potential customers, tailoring solutions to their specific broadband infrastructure needs.
- Negotiation and Closing: Negotiate pricing, terms, and contracts, ensuring that both the company’s and the customer's needs are met while maximizing profitability.
- Order Management: Coordinate with the internal team to process orders, track deliveries, and ensure that customer expectations are met in terms of product availability and timeliness.
- Reporting and Documentation: Maintain accurate records of sales activities, customer interactions, forecasts, and outcomes in CRM software. Provide regular updates on sales performance to management.
- Collaboration: Work closely with internal departments such as customer service, logistics, and product management, as well as outside vendors to ensure smooth operations and excellent customer satisfaction.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Knowledge of broadband materials and infrastructure (e.g., fiber optics, cables, connectors) is highly desirable.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and influence decision-makers at all levels.
- Self-motivated and goal-oriented, with a demonstrated ability to meet or exceed sales targets.
- Excellent presentation, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively, including frequent travel within a designated sales territory.
- Proficiency in CRM software (e.g., Netsuite), Google and Microsoft Office Suite.
- A valid driver’s license and reliable transportation for travel to client sites.
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, telecommunications, or a related field (preferred but not required).
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to travel frequently within the assigned sales territory (driving or flying).
- Ability to participate in meetings, trade shows, or industry events.

Pay: $65,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
