In this role of Title Officer, you are driven by the thrill of getting work done by critical deadlines. Communicating with multiple parties and bringing disparate information together gives you satisfaction. Most of all you get your thinking cap on every day and every day will be a learning experience.
Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and conduct NY Commercial closing transactions that require the ability to handle intricate title and closing issues.
- Collaborate with in-house counsel and title insurance underwriters to underwrite complex title situations and provide viable options to issue requested coverage.
- Review real estate documents and related closing documents for legal and escrow compliance.
- Effectively communicates with all parties involved in the transaction by promptly responding to all questions and requests and taking a proactive approach to ensure a timely closing.
- Communicate with clients and third parties to obtain documentation to clear title related issues such as missing, incomplete, inaccurate, or contradictory information contained in the title commitment.
Qualifications:
- Ability to multitask and thrive working in a fast-paced environment.
- An extreme thoroughness and attention to detail, with the ability to interpret complex information affecting the title of Real Property and closing Real Estate transactions.
- Three years of work in the title industry with a firm understanding of the various title insurance products and the various coverages they offer.
- Ability to accurately compile and interpret complex and varied information affecting status of title to real property.
- An individual who appreciates the value of a team and employs a positive attitude in all situations.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $60,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
