Stone Hearth Front of House Manager
BASIC FUNCTION
Responsible for the daily operation of Stone Hearth restaurant. Direct and oversee all bar operations including hiring, training and supervising of all bartenders and wait staff. Involved daily in restaurant/bar operations serving and interacting with guests of Ragged Mountain Resort.
CHARACTERISTIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Hire, train and supervise wait staff & bartenders.
- Responsible for recording weekly liquor inventory accurately.
- Schedule and maintain proper levels of staffing in relation to servers and bartenders.
- Assist servers and bartenders as is necessary.
- Oversee the preparation and presentation of beverages to meet set standards.
- Monitor cleanliness and hygiene of bar area.
- Ensure adherence to cash management procedures.
- Monitor and control budget and profitability for bar/beverage.
- Plan and implement procedures to maximize sales and revenue.
- Monitor portion/pour controls, par stock levels and order all beer, wine, liquor.
- Implement improvements for products and services.
Functional supervision, direct and indirect of 10 employees.
SUPERVISION RECEIVED
Direction is received from the Food and Beverage Director.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in the management of bar/beverage service operations.
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- Complete working knowledge of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages.
- Ability to lift up to 30 pounds often and up to 50 pounds occasionally.
- Some holiday, weekend, and evening shifts are required.
- Must be able to stand for long periods of time.
- Must be (or ability to become) T.E.A.M. certified with State of N.H. Liquor Commission within 30 days of hire date.
