Robbins Recruiting has partnered with a leader in the roofing industry who is seeking a Procurement Manager, a critical role in establishing and leading the procurement function for a growing organization consolidating multiple companies. This is a unique opportunity to design and implement a procurement strategy that enhances efficiency, leverages economies of scale, strengthens manufacturer and distributor relationships, and supports success in field operations.
\n- Develop and Execute Procurement Strategy:
- Build and execute a centralized procurement framework focused on premier roofing manufacturers and distributors for the company's consolidated operations.
- Establish and document procurement policies, procedures, and tools to streamline operations.
- Manage Manufacturer and Distributor Vendor Relationships:
- Actively manage and maintain positive relationships with preferred manufacturers and distributors
- Work with the Executive Leadership Team to help facilitate negotiations for contracts to secure and maintain the best pricing and terms for all partnered brands
- Monitor vendor performance to ensure compliance with quality standards and contractual obligations
- Manage Product Mix and Optimization Efforts:
- Develop, execute and monitor service level agreements with preferred vendors on behalf of the branch operations
- Partner with branch production teams to ensure they are receiving timely and accurate delivery of materials to support projects
- Cost and Risk Management:
- Analyze procurement data to identify cost-saving opportunities while maintaining quality standards
- Develop risk management strategies through expansive and contingent vendor relationships to mitigate supply chain disruptions and material shortages
- Cross-Functional Collaboration:
- Partner with branch production teams and operations teams to align procurement with business objectives
- Support the executive leadership team with detailed reports and insights on procurement and rebate performance, cost savings, and market trends.
- Technology Implementation:
- Leverage and master selected procurement software and tools to improve operational efficiency and transparency
- Stay updated on roofing industry advancements to integrate innovative solutions into procurement practices
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
- Significant experience in procurement (5-10 years), ideally in the construction, home improvement services, or roofing industries, with a strong track record of building and managing procurement systems.
- Knowledge of roofing materials, equipment, and suppliers is highly desirable.
- Proven ability to negotiate contracts and manage supplier relationships effectively.
- Familiarity with inventory and procurement software platforms.
- Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
