Accounting Specialist

Salary: $24.00 to $26.00 hourly

Description

We are offering a long-term contract employment opportunity for an Accounting Specialist in Portsmouth, New Hampshire. This role will be a hybrid, involving both remote and office work. The position is within the accounting industry and will require proficiency in accounting software systems and General Ledger (GL) knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Efficiently handle customer credit applications
• Ensure customer credit records are maintained and updated
• Monitor customer accounts and take appropriate actions as needed
• Utilize Accounting Software Systems such as Deltek Vantage Point to manage accounting functions
• Manage Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)
• Carry out auditing tasks as required
• Oversee billing functions to ensure accuracy and timeliness
• Manage payroll using ADP
• Utilize Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems to streamline accounting functions
• Use Concur for travel and expense management.
  
  
  

Requirements

• Proficiency in using Accounting Software Systems is mandatory
• Familiarity with Concur software is required
• Experience with ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning is expected
• In-depth knowledge of Accounting Functions is necessary
• Ability to handle Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) is essential
• Auditing skills are a must
• Experience with Billing Functions is required
• Knowledge of ADP - Payroll system is expected
• Familiarity with Deltek software is a plus
