Robert Half Management Resources, in partnership with a client, is in search of an Accounts Payable Manager to join the Accounting team of a client in the construction industry in the Pinellas Park / Largo, Fl area. In this role, you'll oversee the accounts payable operations and ensure efficient, accurate processing of transactions. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented individual who is well-versed in accounting functions, able to process data effectively, and has a strong understanding of accounting software systems. This is a short-term contract employment opportunity that will primarily be expected in the office, but with flexibility for a hybrid schedule once established / acclimated in the role. Responsibilities:• Oversee the operations of the Accounts Payable department • Conduct end-to-end process assessments • Manage daily accounts payable activities, including job coding • Optimize and/or implement Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for the Accounts Payable department • Prepare and record AP-related journal entries • Utilize NetSuite for all accounting activities • Leverage skills in account coding and accrual accounting • Implement process improvements in the Accounts Payable department • Perform audits as necessary • Handle automated clearing house (ACH) transactions • Oversee job cost and business process improvement initiatives
