We are in search of a Compensation & Benefits Specialist to join our team in the construction industry, located in Tampa, Florida. As a Compensation & Benefits Specialist, you'll be entrusted with the crucial task of managing health benefit enrollments, ensuring compliance with regulations, and maintaining accuracy in our internal systems. This role provides a long-term contract employment opportunity.
Responsibilities:
• Ensure adherence to all federal and state regulations concerning benefits administration, including but not limited to ERISA, COBRA, FMLA, and Section 125.
• Manage the initiation and execution of health benefit monthly and open enrollments.
• Implement new benefit programs and arrange employee information presentations and enrollments.
• Address discrepancies related to employee coverages and payroll deductions.
• Review and reconcile reports between internal systems and carriers, verifying the accuracy of benefit data.
• Confirm the calculation of the monthly premium statements for all group insurance policies and address administrative issues with carrier representatives.
• Analyze and correct data warnings and errors between carrier and Human Resources System.
• Maintain a regular communication line with employees, insurance companies, and broker to support health benefits.
• Work closely with vendor partners to ensure clear communication and excellent service to the organization.
• Uphold a system for efficient benefit administration.• Proficiency in Benefit Functions, with a solid understanding of various employee benefit programs, their administration and legal requirements.
• Exceptional Communication skills, both written and verbal, to clearly explain benefits packages and procedures to employees at all levels.
• Experience handling Open Enrollment periods, including preparation, coordination, and communication with employees.
• Familiarity with Dayforce or similar HRIS systems, capable of managing employee data and executing benefits-related tasks.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, with an ability to create, manage, and interpret complex spreadsheets.
• Knowledge of Excel Formulas and their application in data analysis and reporting in the context of compensation and benefits.
