We are looking for a dedicated Financial Aid Representative to be part of our team. This role is primarily in the education industry and is based in Chantilly, Virginia. As a Financial Aid Representative, you will be responsible for managing both inbound and outbound communication with students, providing them with information related to various payment methods, including Federal Financial Aid. This role requires strong organizational skills and a keen attention to detail. Responsibilities: • Communicate effectively with students via phone and email, answering their queries regarding payment methods and university policies.• Identify the needs of the students and provide them with appropriate solutions, adhering to our business processes and university guidelines.• Guide students through various financing options and university policies related to payments.• Support the Financial Aid Advisors in their day-to-day activities.• Manage outbound communication with students and handle inbound requests to maintain a manageable queue volume.• Work as part of a team to ensure a high-quality, timely student experience. This includes supporting colleagues, participating actively in team discussions, and providing constructive feedback to management.• Collaborate with Financial Aid Advisors to update and maintain student records.• Work closely with the Financial Aid Support Team to identify trends and root causes of issues related to student needs.• Process payments and update student records accurately, following all necessary procedures.• Engage with current and past students to prompt action on their balances, as part of various collections campaigns.• Understand key metrics and use self-service reporting and tools to monitor and share data.• Maintain confidentiality and manage sensitive information effectively.• Prioritize the needs of the students and commit to providing an excellent student experience.• Foster positive working relationships and promote a collaborative environment with students, staff, and leadership.• Manage time effectively, prioritizing and evaluating work to handle a variety of daily tasks.
