We are offering an exciting opportunity for a Financial Analyst in Corbin, Kentucky area. The successful candidate will become an integral part of our finance team, focusing on financial reporting, risk management, and various accounting functions. This role involves significant collaboration with different departments in a dynamic setting.
Responsibilities
- Analyzing financial data to identify key performance indicators and trends.
- Preparing financial reports and statements for a range of stakeholders, both internal and external.
- Ensuring compliance with our risk management policies, financial controls, and internal audits.
- Assisting in the budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis processes.
- Conducting general ledger reconciliations on a regular basis.
- Posting assigned journal entries and ensuring they are accurate.
- Managing the application of cash payments to customer accounts and overseeing credit-hold releases.
- When necessary, obtaining payment guarantees from customer buying groups.
- Conducting collection calls and managing accounts receivable aging reports.
- Supporting the month-end and year-end closing processes.
- Participating in ad hoc financial analysis and special projects as they arise.
- Collaborating with internal departments and external stakeholders to meet reporting and auditing needs.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a Financial Analyst role or similar position
- Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems
- Expertise in various Accounting Functions
- Experience with Accrual Accounting
- Proven skills in Auditing
- Knowledge of Budget Processes
- Understanding of Capital Management principles
- Experience with Cash Applications
- Expertise in Financial Reporting
