Logistics Coordinator

Salary: $21.38 to $24.75 hourly

Description

We are offering a permanent employment opportunity for a Logistics Coordinator in Columbia City, Indiana. This role is crucial to the smooth operation of our warehouse and supply chain functions. The main duties include processing shipping documents, coordinating deliveries, and maintaining precise order records. This role is key to ensuring that customers receive their orders accurately and on time while maintaining precise data entry and inventory tracking.

Responsibilities

• Accurately process and manage both physical and electronic shipping documents, including EDI purchase orders, warehouse sales orders, and bills of lading.
• Monitor and coordinate supply chain procedures to optimize delivery efficiency.
• Maintain precise records of orders, inventory levels, suppliers, and customers, ensuring documentation is readily accessible.
• Track and manage container movement from vessel to rail to BNS to guarantee accurate and timely processing.
• Coordinate with suppliers and warehouse teams to streamline logistics operations and address customer inquiries regarding shipments.
• Oversee warehouse inventory levels, submit cut reports as needed, and synchronize static inventory with live POs for order fulfillment.
• Input and maintain data accurately in logistics software and order management systems, ensuring compliance with company policies and industry regulations related to warehouse operations and shipping.
• Provide timely order status updates to customers and work proactively to resolve any shipping or inventory discrepancies.
• Collaborate with the logistics team to ensure on-time and in-full (OTIF) order fulfillment.
• Perform weekly document filing and maintain organized records for reporting and auditing.
  
  
  

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years experience in a logistics coordination role or similar
• Proficiency in billing functions related to logistics
• Exceptional communication skills
• Strong customer service abilities
• Familiarity with customs regulations and procedures
• Experience in preparing and managing shipping documentation
• Knowledge of EDI – Electronic Data Interchange
• Proven ability to coordinate logistics effectively
• Experience in facilities coordination
• Demonstrated skills in operations coordination
• Ability to coordinate production schedules and procedures
• Experience in warehouse distribution and management
• Proficiency in managing warehouse inventory
• Experience in preparing and managing Bills of Lading
