We are offering a great opportunity in the Healthcare industry for a Medical Accounts Receivable Specialist or a CPC Coder at our Ocean, New Jersey location. As a Medical Accounts Receivable Specialist, you will be responsible for managing patients' claims that have been submitted to third-party payors, ensuring adherence to quality and quantity standards of the practice and industry regulations.Responsibilities:• Engage in the follow-up of patients’ claims that have not been fully adjudicated or have been denied.• Uphold the quality and quantity standards of the practice as well as industry regulations.• Interpret and comprehend all types of ERAs, EOBs, or any other third-party payor correspondence.• Utilize this information to take necessary actions for the final adjudication of patients’ claims.• Demonstrate a basic understanding of CPT and ICD coding.• Demonstrate knowledge of rudimentary medical terminology.• Exhibit excellent judgment and decision-making skills.• Identify trends and provide immediate feedback to the AR Team Lead or AR Revenue Cycle Manager.• Exhibit problem-solving, prioritization, and organizational skills.• Demonstrate reliability, accuracy, and efficiency when dealing with patients or third-party payors.• Understand current insurance guidelines and policies.• Comprehend the terms of any contract between the facility and its third-party payors when relevant.• Demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills.• Exhibit excellent interpersonal skills.
