This role is integral to our operations, requiring a detail-oriented individual with a strong background in medical billing and coding. The successful candidate will be tasked with managing and resolving patient account balances, rebilling claims, and communicating with third-party representatives to ensure smooth claims processing.
Responsibilities :
- Accurately and efficiently process customer credit applications.
- Maintain and update customer credit records for accuracy.
- Monitor customer accounts and take necessary actions for account resolutions.
- Review and correct claim forms as necessary to ensure completeness.
- Handle rejected or denied claims, rebilling them and assigning the appropriate insurance carrier.
- Appeal claims when necessary and draft clear, concise appeal letters.
- Address payment issues with carriers, such as denials and partial payments.
- Research and resolve issues with insurance companies, including network problems and work comp claims.
- Follow up on suspended claims and aged, unresolved claims.
- Liaise with third-party representatives to complete claims processing.
- Report productivity results on a weekly basis.
- Possess expertise in Medical Billing to accurately bill patients and insurance companies.
- Proficiency in handling Medical Claims is essential to ensure timely and accurate processing.
- Ability to manage Insurance Claims efficiently to minimize payment delays and denials.
- Strong knowledge in Billing procedures and principles to ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
- Familiarity with medical Coding practices to accurately code diagnoses and procedures for billing.
