We are offering a short term contract employment opportunity for a Payroll Accountant in Buena Park, California. This role operates within our finance team with a focus on managing our accounts payable process and ensuring the accurate and timely processing of payroll.Responsibilities:• Accurately and efficiently process vendor invoices, aligning with proper coding and approvals.• Verify the accuracy of purchase orders, invoices, and receipts through 3-way matching.• Prepare payments, including checks, ACH, and wire transfers, with punctuality.• Address and rectify discrepancies or outstanding issues within vendor statements.• Uphold comprehensive and current accounts payable records, in compliance with company policies.• Manage the bi-weekly payroll process for employees, ensuring accuracy and adherence to deadlines.• Determine employee wages, overtime, deductions, and reimbursements in line with company policies and legal regulations.• Retain payroll records, including employee timesheets, tax withholdings, and benefits information.• Prepare and submit payroll tax returns, including federal, state, and local filings.• Respond to and resolve any discrepancies within employee inquiries regarding payroll.
