Robert Half Contract Finance and Accounting team is seeking a Procurement & Logistics Supervisor for our client in Sparks, NV. The role involves supervising and improving supply chain processes, managing inventory, and overseeing the transportation of shipments to customers. This position will also require the individual to undertake oversight of all purchasing, shipping, and receiving operations. This position is located near USA Parkway
Responsibilities
• Supervising and refining the storage and flow of products, materials, information, and services to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.
• Planning and implementing supply chain processes, including the sourcing of raw materials and the manufacturing of products.
• Managing and controlling inventory to ensure effective storage and usage.
• Overseeing the transportation of shipments to end users, ensuring timely and safe delivery.
• Directing all purchasing operations, including the accurate input of data into purchase order templates or data input sheets.
• Managing all shipping and receiving operations, ensuring accurate and efficient handling of inventory.
• Comparing and selecting quotes from vendors, taking into account the budget and schedule specifics of each job.
• Reviewing and approving invoices related to seismic projects, manufacturing jobs and plant supplies.
• Coordinating monthly physical inventory counts of in-house and offsite inventories.
• Verifying received orders via packing slips, confirming item descriptions, quantities, and material certifications against signed purchase orders.
• Overseeing logistics, both inbound and outbound, to ensure smooth operations.
• Managing the procurement processes, including reviewing price requests and sending signed price requests to vendors with detailed instructions.
• Overseeing the use and application of formulas and other Office tools for operational efficiency.
• Demonstrating safe work habits, excellent time management and leadership skills, independent problem-solving abilities, and exceptional attendance.
