Robert Half Contract Finance and Accounting is offering a contract to permanent employment opportunity for a Procurement Specialist in Reno, Nevada. This role involves a combination of procurement and supply chain tasks as well some administrative duties. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working independently and is looking to grow in their role as the company grows. This is a brand-new manufacturing facility, so this position plays a critical role in establishing their U.S. operations. The ideal candidate for this role has at least 2 years' experience in procurement, possesses strong Microsoft Excel skills and is willing to travel to California a few times each year. Responsibilities

• Procure maintenance, repair, and operations supplies, including small parts and materials.
• Manage and improve supply chain processes and schedules to ensure efficient workflows.
• Collaborate with the purchasing department to optimize purchasing decisions and vendor relations.
• Prepare for future ERP system implementation by organizing current processes.
• Utilize Microsoft Excel for supply chain analysis and data tracking.
• Provide administrative support, including booking travel arrangements, managing email correspondence, and organizing calendars.
• Function as a reliable partner to ensure seamless operations at the executive level.
• Adapt to the changing needs of the role and the organization.
• Participate in procurement activities and functions.
  
  
  

Requirements

• A minimum of 2 years of experience in a supply chain or similar role.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Demonstrated ability to provide exceptional customer service.
• Experience with invoicing and other financial processes.
• Proficiency in logistics management, including distribution and transportation.
• Solid understanding of procurement, including procurement activities and functions.
• Experience in purchasing materials and managing supplier relationships.
• Knowledge of supply chain logistics and ability to optimize processes.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including use of advanced functions for data analysis.
