We are in the search for a Sr. Accountant to join our team. This role is based in McLean, Virginia, 22102, United States and offers a long term contract employment opportunity. As a Sr. Accountant, you will be in charge of various financial responsibilities including journal entries, account reconciliations, and handling of fixed assets.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the reconciliation of accounts to ensure accuracy
- Manage the process of journal entries, ensuring they are properly recorded
- Handle daily cash receipts and ensure they are accurately logged
- Oversee the maintenance and management of fixed assets
- Handle prepaids and ensure they are properly accounted for
- Utilize Microsoft Excel to track, analyze, and report financial data
- Assist in month end close processes to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting
- Use Deltek Costpoint for effective financial management
- Participate in incurred cost submissions.
- Proven experience with Account Reconciliation
- Proficiency in General Ledger management and maintenance
- Demonstrable ability to make accurate Journal Entries
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel
- Experience with Month End Close procedures
- Familiarity with Deltek Costpoint is required
- Capability to handle Fixed Asset Accounting
- Responsibility for Daily Cash Receipts
- Experience in managing Prepaids is essential
