Robinson Cole, a Vault “Top Ranked” Am Law 200 firm, seeks an associate with three to five years of litigation experience to join the Insurance Reinsurance Practice Group in its Providence or Boston offices.
Robinson Cole has one of the leading insurance litigation and insurance coverage practices in the United States. This role is an exciting opportunity to work closely with our insurance litigation attorneys in our Providence office, whose growing practice covers all six New England states and involves first party, third party, bad faith and subrogation coverage disputes and litigation for a diverse array of clients.
We seek a highly motivated attorney with strong academic credentials, excellent writing and analytical skills, and law firm or equivalent litigation experience. The ideal candidate will be responsive, professional, and diligent, and will have a keen interest in a variety of insurance work. The candidate will be expected to assume substantial responsibility for all aspects of case management, including as-needed research, drafting motions and briefs, engaging in and managing discovery, taking and defending depositions, arguing motions, and drafting coverage opinions. Prior experience in insurance coverage, subrogation, and/or other insurance-related litigation is helpful, but not required for this position. Significant on-the-job training and mentoring will be provided to the selected candidate.
Please note that all R C attorneys must be admitted in the state of their primary office location. Admission to the Rhode Island bar is also required for this position. Additional bar admissions, especially to the bars of other New England states, are helpful.
