What are the responsibilities and job description for the Surgical Scheduler position at Rochester Brain and Spine Group PLLC?
Looking for a "dedicated" employee who has experienced in surgical/medical scheduling. MUST BE ORGANIZED AND DETAILED for surgical scheduling- it requires critical thinking, multi tasking, understanding of medical cpt codes, diagnosis codes and all health insurances including no-fault and workers compensation. We need dedication for this position. Medent computer.
Job duties include being compassionate when speaking with the surgical candidates , scheduling patients at the hospital with utmost accuracy , obtaining all the medical records from patients specialists, obtaining any medical or lab results . Obtaining prior authorizations and meeting the medical guidelines with the insurance companies.
We are a surgical practice and our patients are in a lot of pain and we need them to be treated with the upmost respect by all our staff. We need a dedicated employee who comes to work everyday, can lift over 40 lbs, able to do constant bending, twisting, typing, answering of continuous phones with no issues, walking back and forth to offices for 8 hours a day.
Very important in our practice is we strive for our employees to be positive, compassionate, honest, non-confrontational, non-judgmental as we are all humans and make mistakes, not engage in office gossip, quick conflict resolution, able to accept constructive criticism and move on, able to work at change, be forgiving and of course happy with each other, and hold each other up as co workers and definitely be pleasant with our patients who need our help.

Pay: $24.00 - $27.00 per hour
