General Summary
The Package Engineering Manager leads the team and is responsible for establishing high-quality technology capabilities, sustaining the team's engineering, and improving yield, cost, and cycle time.
Responsibilities
Supervise staff, respond to subordinate requests, manage timecards, and resolve personnel issues through coaching, counseling, and initiating, coordinating, and enforcing systems, policies, and procedures.Recruit, select, onboard, train, develop, and mentor employees for, including, but not limited to, technical skill.Implement package and assembly technology per the company's timelines with cost and cycle time expectations.Work cross-functionally to improve overall processes, methodologies, and systems that affect Rel operations.Maintain workflow by completing production plans, schedule / assign personnel, set work result goals, designate priorities, monitor progress, revise schedules, resolve problems, and report results of the processing flow on shift production summaries.Implement and maintain 6S and corporate standards.Review processes for throughput and cost efficiency improvements, set processing variables, observe control points, develop reporting procedures and systems, facilitate corrections to malfunctions within process control points; may include interaction with vendors and suppliers to accomplish.Maintain safe and clean work environment by educating and directing personnel on the use of all control points, equipment, and resources, and maintaining compliance with established policies and procedures.Provide manufacturing information by compiling, initiating, sorting, and analyzing production performance records and data, and answering questions and responding to requestsWork with supplier and vendor teams to ensure robust assembly knowledge, stays in touch with worldwide assembly technology evolution as well as equipment / process technologies available.Provide training within department as well as to other departments on assembly tools, techniques, capabilities and marketing of our capabilities.Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent technical work experience in package engineering.A minimum of 10 years of assembly manufacturing experience with 5 years in a leadership position showing proven leadership skills; or other equivalent combination of education and experience.Skills :Semiconductor package engineering techniques and equipment
