What are the responsibilities and job description for the Recertification Specialist, Affordable Housing position at Rochester's Cornerstone Group, Ltd.?
- Recertification of all unit files.
- Providing exceptional customer service to residents.
- Managing communications with residents regarding rent and past-due balances.
- Preparing reports.
- Maintaining accurate records and resident files.
- Processing move-out paperwork and security deposits.
- Processing, approving/denying rental applications.
- Conducting new resident orientation to property including rules and regulations.
- Performing move-in and move-out inspections with residents.
- Maintaining a professional office atmosphere.
- Inspecting property and monitoring apartment inspections.
- Maintaining an accurate waiting list.
- Obtaining third-party verifications.
- Communicating professionally, respectfully, and collaboratively.
- Working professionally and cooperatively with the team.
- Models leadership and leads by example.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Prior relevant experience in affordable housing.
- Prior experience with recertification.
- Complete knowledge of all phases of leasing and resident retention.
- Excellent interpersonal, customer service, organization, time management, conflict resolution, and verbal and written communication skills.
- Computer proficiency with knowledge of OneSite or similar management software.
- Reliable transportation.
- Possession and required use of personal cell phone (reimbursement provided).
