Job Summary:
- This role is responsible for supervising the staff in each area of the spa, ensuring the highest levels of guest satisfaction are attained, and using the ability to lead and motivate staff to achieve goals and exceed guest expectations.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Directly supervise all staff to ensure all day-to-day standards and procedures are adhered to and delivered at the highest level
- Review spa occupancy forecasts and all weekly spa schedules anticipating appropriate staff levels
- Facilitate training and evaluations of all spa staff, assist in training new staff for all positions
- Assist in making spa reservations, check in spa guests, and offer recommendations or descriptions of spa services as necessary, offer orientation of the facility
- Handle all member/guest interactions with the highest level of hospitality and professionalism, accommodating special requests whenever possible
- Resolve customer complaints & assist customers with all inquiries
- Assists in the implementation of proper inventory and purchasing procedures. Maintains a monthly inventory of supplies, equipment, and/or products.
- Assesses all employee’s progress continually, coaches employees fairly and consistently with positive reinforcement and disciplines and participates in annual performance evaluations, and assists in the termination process.
- Assist in the maintenance of a fully staffed department by recruiting, interviewing, hiring, and training all staff
- Ensures the staff is fully knowledgeable on the use and benefits of services, products, programs, and activities by conducting regularly scheduled staff meetings and training workshops.
- Prepares any incident or accident reports and forwards them to the Spa Director and HR Director
- Other duties as assigned
Required Skills/Abilities:
- The ability to lead and mentor a team, comfortable training staff as well as coaching and counseling.
- Ability to read and write proficiently to evaluate reports, correspondence and statistical information
- Excellent organizational skills to function effectively under time constraints and within established deadlines, with particular attention to detail
- Excellent customer service skills and interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with all business contacts
- Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines
- A professional well-groomed appearance adhering to company standards

Education and Experience:
- Must have Experience in Management in a spa, resort, or hospitality setting
- Associate's degree preferred
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds at times
- This position requires the following abilities: climbing, balancing, kneeling, crouching, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, grasping, tactile sense, and repetitive motions
- The employee will be required to operate the following tools: computer, calculators, phone, all spa equipment, hot cabbies, paraffin heaters, steamers, microcurrent machines, fitness equipment, and treatment products
- Must be in a physical condition to project the health and wellness ideals of the spa environment
