RFC VISION: Impacting every ONE with the love of Jesus Christ.
UNIQUE TO RFC: What makes us different?
- Bold invitations for people to accept Jesus Christ in EVERY service.
- Creative, visual, and practical Bible teaching on how to do life as a follower of Christ on Monday through Friday.
- We excel at customer service. We are the warmest and friendliest place of business in Colorado Springs.
- Equip and empower the team members. Our motto is “Everyday ministry by everyday believers.”
- Kids and teenagers are empowered to serve and BE the church of today, not tomorrow.
- We esteem teenagers 13 and older as adults who are called to valiantly serve shoulder to shoulder with us.
- “We do ministry for children and teenagers with adult care provided.”
- We do church “family style.”
- Families partake in communion together.
- Parents are encouraged to baptize their son or daughter.
- Family events, movie nights, etc.
- We are intentional about maturing the believer from infancy to parenthood and making disciples of Christ.
- We strive to engage all members into a variety of small groups, specialty classes (parenting, marriage, FPU) or a discipleship growth track.
- Church is not only a place to receive but all members are challenged to find a place to serve and move the vision forward.
- We are politically neutral and choose NOT to engage in the political process other than encouraging our members to vote. We do not advocate for one political party over another and believe the Great Commission given to us by Jesus calls for us to reach Democrats, Republicans, Independents, and any and every one in between. We choose to use our influence for KINGDOM purposes rather than political ones.
- We passionately reach out to the hurting, the lost, and the unchurched of our city. We must continually think “OUTWARD” not inward.
- Church members are part of a team, not a club. Church life is 360 degrees where members receive and give. We believe the church is not here for us . . . we ARE the church, and we are here for the world.
- We love to be GENEROUS. When in doubt we always side towards GENEROUSITY.
- We are Kingdom focused and esteem other local churches as teammates. We pray for the success and favor upon a different church every Sunday in our services.
RFC STAFF CORE OBJECTIVES - DEFINES WHAT WE DO
- Make disciples – We grow people in their walk with Jesus to become reproducing followers of Christ.
- Connect people – We engage people in authentic relationships.
- Empower team members – We equip, empower, and release people to do the works of Jesus. Everyday ministry by everyday believers. Everyone reach one.
- Cultivate leaders – We lead, coach, train, model, delegate, and develop people to move up the ladder of leadership. We daily pray for God to add winners to our team.
- Walk in the supernatural – We rely upon the Holy Spirit’s power, wisdom, grace, and direction to accomplish the vision and to impact people’s lives.
RFC STAFF CORE VALUES – DEFINES HOW WE DO IT
We agree and commit to the following values in how we serve, work, and relate to each other:
- Lead With Integrity Live a consecrated life to Jesus Christ for others to model. Ultimately integrity is a victory you win for a value you hold when you could compromise it and take the easy way out.
- Serve With Humility Humbly serve our team members, their families, our church family, and our community. “For even the Son of Man came not to be served but to serve others and to give his life as a ransom for many.”
- People Are Priority Before programs, processes, and task, we always make time for people. Never become so focused on the project that we forget the people we are serving or serving with.
- Family First Marriage before ministry. Never allow ministry to be more important than your marriage and your kids.
- Make it Better “We’re just like bacon, we make everything better.” Function with excellence. Give the extra 5% to move it from good to great. “The difference between being mediocre and achieving excellence is you.” Stephen Richards
- Stay Hungry We peddle when others coast. We are not content with the status quo. “Healthy things grow. We strive to be a healthy organization not grow in attendance.”
- Own It The buck stops with me. No excuses. Our word is gold.
- Have Fun “If we’re not having fun doing what we do then maybe we have lost sight of why we’re doing it.”
RFC CHURCH CORE VALUES
- REACH – Intentionally connect with those beyond our church walls.
- BELONG – A place to call home and a spiritual family to share life with.
- PARTNER – Invest financially to transform the lives of children, teenagers, and adults.
- SERVE – Become a ROCKSTAR volunteer as you cross the white line on the field and leverage your gifts and talents to make us a better team.
- GROW – Take your walk with God to the next level through daily devotions, attending church weekly, and connecting in a Rock Small Group.
- PRAY – Unite in the power of prayer and expect the authentic power and presence of God every time we gather.
