JOB DESCRIPTION

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic HR Generalist to join our team. This role is pivotal in supporting HR operations and employees, while fostering a positive work environment in a fast-paced and dynamic setting. The ideal candidate will have experience in payroll, compliance, and HR administration while understanding the unique challenges of the live event industry, including irregular work schedules, seasonal employment, and onsite event HR support.

The ideal candidate for this role should possess a strong work ethic, be a hands-on professional, have excellent communication skills, strong organizational skills, excellent interpersonal skills, and be detail-oriented with the ability to multi-task in a multi company environment.

Responsibilities will include:

Onboarding:

  • Manage the end-to-end onboarding process, ensuring a seamless transition from offer acceptance to the first day and beyond.
  • Serve as the main point of contact for new hires, addressing questions and providing support during their onboarding period.

Employee Relations & HR Support:

  • Assist with managing employee inquiries, concerns, and providing guidance on HR policies and procedures.
  • Support managers on employee relations matters, disciplinary actions, and performance management.
  • Help foster a positive and inclusive work culture.

Compliance & HR Administration:

  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local labor laws, including OSHA and industry-specific regulations.
  • Manage employment documentation, HR policies, and procedures.
  • Assist with workers' compensation claims and support health and safety initiatives.

Payroll & Records Management:

  • Coordinate with payroll and finance teams to ensure accurate and timely payments.
  • Resolve payroll discrepancies and address any payroll-related issues in a timely and professional manner
  • Process employment verification requests while maintaining confidentiality.
  • Open and distribute mail to the appropriate departments.

Onsite Event HR Support:

  • Provide HR assistance during live events, ensuring smooth staff operations.
  • Address immediate HR needs, including last-minute staffing, conflict resolution, and compliance enforcement.

WHAT THIS PERSON WILL BRING

Requirements:

  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; an associate’s or bachelor’s degree in business administration, human resources, or a related field is preferred.
  • Experience: or HR support role.
  • Skills:
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Teams, Outlook).
  • Experience with HRIS systems (e.g., Paylocity, ADP).
  • Multi-state payroll processing experience is a plus.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.

LOCATION: This is a hybrid position, requiring at least one day in the office. The position will be based in our Ambler, PA, office. It is close to mass transit and the downtown district of Ambler. We maintain a casual, friendly office environment, with flexible work hours.
