What are the responsibilities and job description for the Fundraising Ambassador position at Rock The City?
We are seeking passionate Fundraising Ambassadors to help us secure donation box placements in local businesses across Queens and Brooklyn. This role is essential in raising funds to support our free food initiative and community events. Volunteers will receive a stipend as appreciation for their efforts.
Responsibilities:
- Visit or call local businesses to request permission to place a donation box in their store.
- Clearly communicate our mission and the impact of their participation.
- Maintain a record of businesses that agree to participate.
- Follow up periodically to collect donations and ensure boxes are maintained.
Ideal Candidate:
- Comfortable with speaking to business owners in person or over the phone.
- Passionate about community service and fundraising.
- Self-motivated and goal-oriented.
- Experience in sales, fundraising, or outreach is a plus but not required.
