Rockhurst University seeks an Assistant Registrar to maintain student records, which includes the preservation of essential student data within the University student information system. This position requires an in-depth understanding of higher education policies pertaining to student academic records/requirements.

Primary functions of this position include but are not limited to: knowledge of FERPA regulations, monitoring of student records from pre-admission through to post-graduation, completion of all transfer credit entry into an integrated student information system, completion and tracking of major declaration changes and understanding / processing of degree honors calculations.
This position requires extensive use of the Banner student information system. The successful candidate will be able to complete the execution of all daily functions of registrar work, while maintaining continuous interactions with students and other university office personnel. The successful candidate must be detail oriented to keep accurate records, while able to multi-task and organize work effectively.
The Assistant Registrar must represent the Registrar’s Office and the University in a professional manner, establishing and maintaining positive relationships with students, faculty, staff, and the general public.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree
Minimum of 1 year of experience in higher education environment
Experience with an integrated student information system (Banner preferred)
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
Knowledge of FERPA regulations
Skill set
- Ability to collaborate effectively with constituencies
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Experience / working knowledge of an integrated student software system (experience in Banner preferred)
- Knowledge and understanding of current compliance, regulatory, and risk management policies relevant to student records and accreditation
- Experience in the maintenance of student records in compliance with academic policies
- Ability to multi-task, able to seamlessly shift between several tasks while balancing priorities to accomplish tasks within a given deadline
- Ability to work well in a team within a fast-paced, dynamic environment
- Detail-oriented, able to self-check to ensure accuracy
