What are the responsibilities and job description for the High School Drama Teacher position at Rocky Bayou Christian School?
Job Description: The teacher will help students learn attitudes, skills, and participate in music activities that will contribute to their development as mature, able, and responsible Christian men and women to the praise and glory of God. Must be able to teach all aspects of drama and be able to lead and produce a fall drama production as well as a spring musical production. Integrate biblical principles and the Christian philosophy of education throughout the Drama activities. Employ a variety of instructional aides, methods, and materials that will provide or creative teaching to reach the whole child: spiritual, mental, physical, social, and emotional.
Required Personal Qualities Must be member/regular attender at a local church which has fundamental beliefs in agreement with historic Christian orthodoxy. Must enroll their children in Rocky Bayou Christian School or approved Christian venue. Be in whole-hearted agreement with the school's Statement of Faith and Christian philosophy of education. Demonstrate the character qualities of enthusiasm, courtesy, flexibility, integrity, gratitude, kindness, self-control, perseverance, and punctuality.
Job Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Drama, Theater, or related specialty or have obtained a Bachelor's degree that includes 18 semester credit hours in Drama, Theater, Education or related specialty. Must complete the Philosophy of Christian Education requirement. Demonstrates proficiency in the computer programs used to update student grades, and database software. Ability to use technology in lesson plans.
