What are the responsibilities and job description for the Paraprofessional - Student Services position at Rocky Mountain Classical Academy?
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Paraprofessional to support our student services team in providing exceptional services to students with diverse learning needs. The ideal candidate will work closely with teachers and other staff to create an inclusive and supportive environment that fosters student growth and development. The Paraprofessional will assist students in academic areas such as reading, writing and/or math including implementing curriculum, adapting instructional strategies and materials according to the needs of students. Further, the Paraprofessional will support a range of social, emotional, and behavioral interventions. The Paraprofessional will provide instructional and/or behavioral supports to students under the direction of a Resource Teacher.

- Bachelor's degree (preferred)
- Experience working with students with diverse learning needs is highly desirable.

Requirements:- Assist teachers in implementing individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with diverse learning needs.
- Provide one-on-one and small group support to students in academic and social settings.
- Monitor and document student progress, behavior, and engagement.
- Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and other professionals to develop effective strategies for student success.
- Support classroom management and maintain a positive learning environment.
- Participate in training and professional development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge.
- Implements instructional and behavioral programs for students either on an individual basis or in group for students with diverse learning needs as assigned.
- Provides program and lesson modifications for individual students to enhance appropriate social, emotional and cognitive skills as directed by resource and general education teachers.
- Acts as a liaison between resource and general education teacher including relaying messages, input and feedback on how things are working.
- Assists and supervises students’ assessments.
