GROW YOUR CAREER WITH OUR TEAM! Rocky Mountain Custom Landscape has an opening for a full-time Human Resource Business Partner to work out of our Gypsum, CO or Denver, CO location.
JOB SUMMARY: The Human Resources Business Partner plays a key role in supporting the HR department across new hire onboarding, Associate relations, performance management, HR policies, and engagement initiatives. This position collaborates with business leaders to align HR strategies with organizational goals. The ideal candidate has strong interpersonal and communication skills, in-depth knowledge of HR policies and employment laws, and the ability to maintain confidentiality.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Partner with business leaders and talent acquisition to efficiently fill roles.
- Oversee onboarding, ensuring a seamless new hire experience.
- Set up new hires with necessary equipment (phones, laptops, email, uniforms).
- Process new hire paperwork and enter employee data into Workday.
- Conduct orientation and HR training on policies, systems, and compliance.
- Advise managers on Associate relations, conflict resolution, and performance management.
- Support goal setting, evaluations, and feedback.
- Investigate and resolve workplace issues while ensuring compliance with policies and laws.
- Identify training needs and coordinate development programs.
- Ensure compliance with employment laws and company policies.
- Process and review bi-weekly payroll, verifying timesheets and transactions.
- Partner with the Regional Payroll Administrator to ensure payroll accuracy.
- Manage visa paperwork (H2B, permanent residency), travel reimbursements, and unemployment claims.
- Oversee benefits administration and compliance documentation.
- Maintain HR databases and employee records.
- Lead performance reviews, engagement surveys, and talent development initiatives.
- Manage culture programs to enhance Associate satisfaction and retention.
- Oversee Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to ensure they remain up to date.
- Track and process commissions, referral bonuses, and reimbursements.
- Handle administrative tasks, including vehicle documentation, vendor credentialing, and insurance requests.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field, or equivalent years of experience.
- Bilingual in Spanish is preferred.
- Perform HR administrative tasks while maintaining an understanding of the company’s operational logistics.
- 3-5 years of proven experience in an HR Generalist or a similar HR leadership role.
- Strong understanding of Associate relations, performance management, and training and development practices.
- Proficiency in HRIS systems and other HR-related software applications; experience with Workday is a plus.
- In-depth knowledge of employment laws and regulations.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism in all HR matters.
