Position Purpose

The Early Intervention Evaluation (EIE) Clinical Supervisor is responsible for clinical and administrative oversight of the evaluation team of clinicians completing eligibility evaluations for Early Intervention Colorado (EICO). The EIE Clinical Supervisor works with the EIE Program Manager and Leadership Team to uphold all contractual deliverables in coordination with EICO and Colorado’s Department of Early Childhood (DEC). 

 

Essential Duties

 

  • Oversees day-to-day operations of the EIE team to ensure that services are consistent across staff and compliant with departmental and organizational policies and procedures. Ensures compliance with all regulatory agencies and funders.
  • Supervises EIE staff including all disciplines per EICO’s personal standards.  The Clinical Supervisor interviews, hires, trains, mentors, conducts performance evaluations and performance improvement plans to ensure the delivery of quality services.
  • Works in conjunction with the EIE Program Manager and Leadership Team to develop and maintain calendars and schedules. 
  • Monitors work assigned to each team member to ensure caseload equity and compliance with documentation timeframes and productivity expectations.
  • Implements projects and service development initiatives, including completion of project plans and tasks within timelines.
  • Covers for and completes evaluations as appropriate and as needed, as determined by the EIE Program Manager.
  • Participates in departmental clinical functions on performance management, quality assurance, policy and procedure development, and other projects as assigned.
  • Assists to develop, implement, and monitor utilization, quality outcomes, and financial goals and objectives in alignment with organization’s strategic plan.
  • Represents RMHS on stakeholder committees and at meetings to maximize collaboration with organizations that serve infants, toddlers, and children with developmental delays and disabilities.
  • Serves in a Leadership Role on the Management Team in DBH:
    • Embrace, accept, and facilitate change in the department. 
    • Initiate action steps for solutions based on problems identified by team. Must be able to model and champion a culture of self-sufficiency and solution-based problem solving by accessing and referencing established policies and procedures and analyzing problems with a solution focused lens.
    • Professional and respectful use and means of communication with RMHS staff, especially amongst management team in consistent collaboration.

Qualifications


Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Practice cultural humility with a DEI focused lens
  • Knowledgeable and experienced in conflict management and utilization of reflective supervision techniques
  • Ability to communicate and collaborate in a courteous, clear, and professional manner with internal and external stakeholders including family members, residential personnel, managed care organizations, and RMHS staff
  • Knowledge of children with developmental delays and disabilities
  • Ability to work well with complex family issues and understand the needs of a range of disabilities
  • Knowledge of life-span issues, including typical and atypical early human development.
  • Knowledge of family social, emotional, financial, psychological and cultural issues
  • Knowledge of human behavior and performance, and individual differences in ability, personality, and interests
  • Knowledge of standards of care for toddlers and young children with autism.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills: Skill in giving full attention to what other people are saying, taking time to understand the points being made, and asking appropriate questions
  • Knowledge of Early Intervention (EI) systems at local, state and national levels, especially standards of practice
  • Knowledge of regulatory agency standards of practice
  • Highly organized individual with ability to effectively use Microsoft Office products
  • Ability to maintain confidential information in accordance with HIPAA and other regulations

Minimum Qualifications

*MUST RESIDE IN COLORADO*

  • Licensed clinician (Psychologist, BCBA, LCSW, LPC, OT, SLP, PT, ECSE) with at least a master’s degree in specific discipline.
  • Previous experience providing leadership/supervision to a therapeutic team, clinicians, or students. 
  • Three years of experience in working with infants, toddlers, and young children with developmental delays

 

 

Preferred Qualifications

 

  • Five years of experience in treating infants and young children with developmental delays.
  • Bilingual, Spanish speaking
  • Experience with evaluation of medically fragile infants or toddlers and experience with children referred from the NICU
  • Experience in 3rd party reimbursement documentation and procedures

 

 

Driving Category - Requirements

 

Driving Category B:

Employees who may drive RMHS or personal vehicles for business purposes. Category B employees may transport other employees but will not transport RMHS clients.

 

  • Valid driver’s license
  • Proof of motor vehicle insurance
  • Personal vehicle in good operating condition for use during work, including transporting individuals
  • No major violations in the past three years.
  • No more than two moving violations in the past three years
  • Ability to meet and maintain agency driving requirements and operate agency vehicles
  • Drivers must upload proof of ongoing auto insurance every 6 months into Paycom/Relias.
