Rodale Institute is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to assist in all aspects of our organic farm research program. As a member of our team, you will be responsible for maintaining our orchards and berry fields, establishing new research plots, and conducting ongoing plant-care activities such as pruning, watering, and mulching.
The ideal candidate will have previous farming experience and be knowledgeable in the use of tractors, riding lawnmowers, string trimmers, leaf blowers, backpack sprayers, and garden tools. A commitment to organic agriculture practices and a strong work ethic are essential for success in this role.
Schedule and Compensation:
This is a seasonal position lasting up to 28 weeks, with full-time and part-time hours available. Candidates must be available to work from mid-March through mid-August. The hourly rate for this position is $16.66.
