ACCOUNTS PAYABLE REPRESENTATIVE
POSITION SUMMARY
The Accounts Payable Representative is responsible for verifying, posting, and paying all approved bills in a timely and accurate manner. This role plays a vital part in ensuring the company maintains strong vendor relationships, adheres to internal processes, and manages cash flow efficiently. You’ll work closely with the Finance Manager to confirm available funds before payments are made and ensure that every transaction aligns with company standards.

PERFORMANCE OBJECTIVES
· Verify accuracy and track material purchase orders
· Post and pay approved supplier (vendor) invoices
· Post and pay approved subcontractor invoices
· Post and pay approved general operating expenses
· Process payments for credit card charges, permits, licenses, and filing fees
· Ensure all bills and payments are accurately documented and properly filed
· Process employee reimbursements and payroll-related AP items
· Issue customer refunds via check or credit card chargebacks
· Maintain organized records of all payables for audits and reporting
· Follow company’s AP procedures outlined in the “Rogers Way” accounting manual
KEY COMPETENCIES
· High school diploma or equivalent required; associate’s degree in accounting or related field preferred
· 1–2 years of experience in accounts payable or a related bookkeeping role
· Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry
· Proficient in accounting software (QuickBooks, ServiceTitan, or similar systems a plus)
· Ability to follow established processes and procedures
· Excellent organizational and time-management skills
· Strong communication skills and ability to work well with vendors and internal teams
· A team player who values structure and accountability

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
- This position may require travel
