KID’S CLUB ATTENDANT
POSITION: ***SEASONAL KID’S CLUB ATTENDANT
CATEGORY: NON-EXEMPT
SUMMARY: The Kid's Club Attendant ensures that the Kid's Club delivers a safe and positive experience for the children of our members. The Kid’s Club Attendant is responsible for providing a creatively fun and interactive environment for children using the Kid's Club.
PRIMARY FUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Supervise activities of all assigned children in the Kid's Club area and ensure each child remains in the designated areas.
- Provide instructional care, participate with, and entertain children with games and/or other approved activities.
- Project a positive, friendly, and caring attitude while interacting with the children and their parents.
- Maintain that the Kid's Club area, all toys, and other objects are clean and maintained according to Club standards.
- Follow all procedures concerning the administration of the Kid’s Club, to include, but not limited to, ensuring that parents sign the Kid’s Club Agreement, follow proper check-in/check-out procedures, and verify that parents receive copies of the Kid's Club policies.
- Assist with communication and the marketing of a diverse calendar of enjoyable programs and activities such as Kid’s Club programs, Kid’s Camp programs, and many special and social events.
- Report any incidents, any child health concerns, and all member complaints to the Vistas Management team on duty.
- Enforce Kid’s Club rules and guidelines, and call parents/guardians if/when necessary to assist with discipline issues and/or attend to the child’s personal needs.
- Other duties as assigned.
SKILLS & ABILITIES:
- Possess strong customer service skills and work ethic, as well as communication and interpersonal skills.
- Be efficient, energetic, enthusiastic, friendly, well organized, detail-oriented, and have the ability to multi-task.
- Ability to follow routine verbal and written instructions.
- Ability to show initiative by suggesting ways to make processes and/or member services better.
- Ability to work all shifts – days, nights, weekends, and holidays.
EXPERIENCE:
- 12 months of childcare related experience preferred
EDUCATION/CERTIFICATIONS:
- High School Diploma or GED, preferably CDECE
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Current CPR/AED certification required, or willing to be certified onsite through RHCC
- Trust Line Certification required, or willing to be certified onsite through RHCC
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Ability to bend, stoop, lift and/or carry items up to 25 lbs.
- Ability to stand for prolonged periods of time
- Ability to work indoors or outdoors, in many weather conditions
