What are the responsibilities and job description for the Administrative Assistant position at Roman Catholic Diocese of Syracuse?
SUMMARY: Administrative Assistant for Family/Respect Life (F/RL). Will work as part of a team to support laity, families, and parish leaders to offer effective, Christ-centered family and life ministries in the Syracuse Diocese.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: includes the following. Other duties may be assigned. Work with the Fam/RL Director to:
- Administer and coordinate programming and other efforts for the Fam/RL Office across the Syracuse Diocese
- Attend Diocesan Marriage Preparation classes, as needed.
- Attend Fam/RL programs, projects, events, etc. as needed.
- Administer registration process for Fam/RL programming, as needed.
- Must be proficient in Microsoft and Google programs.
- Serve as a liaison between Fam/RL Office and families, clergy, and others in PCA’s.
- Provide primary administrative support including mailings, newsletters, database maintenance, record keeping, and communications.

OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES: Strong knowledge of and commitment to living the Catholic faith and strong administrative, organizational, presentation, and relationship skills. Must have proficient computer skills and excellent communication skills.
