Roman Empire Living Skills, Inc. provides services to individuals with developmental disabilities throughout California.
We are searching for a organized Billing Clerk to ensure the company is compensated for the services provided. The Billing Clerk will work with the owner of the company to ensure billing activities are submitted & completed accurately and in a timely manner.
To be successful as a Billing Clerk, you should have an affinity for numbers and a passion for promoting business operations. An outstanding Billing Clerk will identify and correct billing-related errors before these affect the payroll/billing run. The Billing Clerk will also be responsible for following up on any funds that were not given by the funding entities.
Billing Clerk Responsibilities:
- Assisting with verifying timecards & session notes platform to ensure validity.
- Follow up on missing information that is critical for the operations of business; such as missing session notes, missing client/guardian signatures, etc.
- Data Entry area: Captures the required demographics from the sample requisition and enters it into our system for result reporting.
- Input information into billing spreadsheets to ensure accuracy; resubmit billing, as needed.
- Collaborating with patients or customers, third party institutions and other team members to resolve billing inconsistencies and errors
- Collaboarate with owner to resolve discrepancies in payments or billing as a matter of urgency.
- Follow up on delinquent payments and track on billing spreadsheet
Billing Clerk Requirements:
- High school diploma required; Associates degree preferred
- Completion of a billing, bookkeeping or similar course is highly advantageous.
- Previous experience as a Billing Clerk, preferably within a company of a similar size.
- Familiarity with billing software.
- Excellent data entry, data cleaning, and math skills.
- Knowledge of legislation and procedures pertaining to payroll deductions and billing regulations.
- Capacity to keep track of numerous ongoing tasks.
- Adherence to all prescribed ethical guidelines, including confidentiality.
- Strong sense of integrity.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $20.00 - $23.00 per hour
