THE LIVING COMPANY · Install Project Management Associate

Raleigh, North Carolina

Overview

The Living Company is installing the furniture for a brand new student housing property developed by Core Spaces at 111 Cox Avenue in Raleigh starting April 2025 and finishing in April of 2026.

We are a division of The Living Company called ROOMY. We offer beautiful and commercially durable furniture for forward-thinking developers and commercial interior designers. For more information on who we are please visit heyroomy.com.

We are seeking candidates to support our furniture installation process and be our eyes and ears on the ground at the properties before and during the installation project.

Candidates will be focusing on the installation of our built-in “Fixed Furniture”. This includes:

  • Double Dividers: an innovative room divider that effectively turns one large room into two distinct student bedrooms.
  • Pods: a concept inspired by the compact living trend. This system provides two students their own private sleep, study, and storage space within a shared bedroom.
  • Murphy Beds: pull down beds that allow compact studio spaces to transform from living room to bedroom and back again.

While we are a furniture company, this internship leans heavily towards construction management. This job involves working in a building site and interacting with contractors of all kinds to help solve problems.

Project Duration and Hours

This position will run from March of 2025 until April of 2026. This project will have threephases: Pre-Install, Install, and Post-Install.

  • Pre-Install and Post-Install will be around a 10 hour per week commitment.
  • Install will ramp up to about 20 hours per week.
  • Peak period will be during the fixed furniture installs.
  • Install will begin April 28th and conclude in April of 2026.
  • We would prefer someone who can oversee the installation from start to finish, but understand the duration is long and so are happy to split the project up if necessary.
  • For example, if you are only available from Spring/Summer 2025 we’d be happy to offer you the option to oversee the first half of the building.
  • If you are only available Fall/Winter 2025/26 we’d be happy to offer the second half of the project
