What You’ll Do
- Ensure Food Quality: Verify that all plates meet company presentation, portioning, and temperature standards before leaving the kitchen.
- Orchestrate Timing: Coordinate with kitchen stations to ensure all food for a table is ready simultaneously, following the “Just in Time” mentality.
- Communicate with Purpose: Maintain clear, respectful, and effective communication between kitchen staff and servers and food runners to ensure seamless service.
- Sell the Food: Call and sell tickets efficiently, prioritizing guest requests, re-cooks, appetizers, and entrées based on service needs.
- Maintain Efficiency: Keep expo stations stocked, organized, and running smoothly to prevent bottlenecks during peak service.
- Problem-Solve in Real Time: Identify and resolve issues that impact ticket times, food quality, and overall kitchen flow before they escalate.
- Support the Team: Assist line cooks, dishwashers, and servers by maintaining cleanliness, restocking supplies, and ensuring smooth communication between FOH and BOH.
- Lead by Example: Display a high level of energy, focus, and professionalism while holding the team accountable to service and quality standards.
