The Help Desk Technician plays a crucial role in ensuring smooth and efficient technology operations for the university community. As the go-to person for technical support, you’ll guide and assist users across all levels with a range of PC-based software and hardware issues. You’ll be the face of our Technology Services Help Desk, delivering expert help and solutions. In addition, you'll provide dedicated support to the Roseman Medical Group (RMG) Clinic in Las Vegas, with occasional travel required to address on-site needs. Key Responsibilities:
- Maintains assigned service requests in the Help Desk Ticketing System.
- Provides end-user hardware and/or software support to all university constituents as directed; troubleshoots as needed.
- Reports and receives technical requests, including supporting “field” and “walkin” service requests.
- Maintains and troubleshoots student and employee network printers and copiers.
- Prepares and configures computer hardware, including installation of appropriate software and phone equipment
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent is required; 3 years of experience required, or any combination of education, experience and training which provides the following Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities.
- A certification or equivalent required. Other certifications such as Net and MCP are preferred but not required.
- Dell Technician Certification is required (within the first 90 days of employment).
- Maintains a Nevada drivers license, insurance, and a good driving record.
- Experience in an academic environment is preferred but not required.
