Position Summary :
The Student Affairs Coordinator is a key person that provides clerical and administrative support for Vice President for Student Affairs (VPSA), the Director of Financial Aid or their designee.
Essential Functions :
- Interact with academic divisions in areas of responsibility; maintains files regarding international and current students, and other Registrar or student affairs functions to comply with government requirements
- Process paperwork for Veterans Administration (VA) students / dependents, performs duties of a School Certifying Official (SCO) in assisting VA students tl
- Student Exchange Visitor Information System (SEVIS) : process F1 student paperwork
- Student Health Insurance, submits rosters, double-checks Broker's informational materials, works with Financial Aid, Bursar's Office and Broker to comply with policies
- Proctor assessments / reassessments for Americans with Disability Act (ADA) students and communicate with ADA students regarding implementation of approved accommodations
- Serve as the primary point of contact for inquiries received through the general insurance and veterans’ email accounts, ensuring timely and accurate responses
- Provide Non-Academic Counseling resources to students upon request
- Assists with Commencement related activities
- Regular attendance is an essential function of the job
- Reliable and timely with the expectation of 40 hours per week on site
- May be required to perform other duties as assigned
