What are the responsibilities and job description for the IT Implementation Specialist (PMS / Sales and Catering) position at Rosen Hotels & Resorts?
Summary:
The IT Implementation Specialist is responsible for leading the implementation and training of Infor applications, including HMS and Infor Sales and Event Management. The ideal candidate has 3-5 years of experience with these applications, strong technical skills, and a background in guest accounting. This role requires creative problem-solving abilities, effective communication skills, and the capability to design training programs. A membership with HFTP and a CHTP designation are preferred.
Responsibilities:
- Travel approximately 50-75% of the time after initial property installation.
- Lead a team of Infor software trainers and installers.
- Analyze complex business problems to assess how Infor systems can be implemented.
- Develop and implement training programs for various Infor-based software applications.
- Train end users on the proper use of software applications.
- Gather and analyze business and user needs in consultation with managers and end users.
- Develop and maintain training classes and materials.
- Train technicians, management, and end users in assigned applications.
- Assist the help desk in completing work orders related to assigned applications.
- Set up new users and computer systems in assigned applications.
- Coordinate users, vendors, support staff, and services to complete approved projects.
- Work with the Technical Support Manager to prioritize workload.
- Conduct regular property walk-throughs to ensure applications are functioning optimally.
- All other duties as assigned.
Experience/Qualifications:
- 3-5 years of related experience and/or training; equivalent combination of education and experience is acceptable
- Previous Hospitality experience required
- Previous Sales and/or Convention Services experience preferred
- Ability to lift up to 25 lbs. infrequently
- Must be able to legally work in the USA
Education and Certification(s)/License(s):
- Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- HFTP membership and CHTP designation preferred.
