Position Overview
The Donor Recognition Associate is primarily responsible for completing the processing cycle for Major Donor and Bequest Society recognition within the required turnaround time. The Donor Recognition Associate is also responsible for any accompanying correspondence as part of the recognition including obtaining crystal engraving instructions from the donor. The Donor Recognition Associate will be involved with high-level donors and must provide excellent customer service through effective communication skills. The Donor Recognition Associate is also responsible for resolving escalated premier recognition inquiries, assisting with any recognition inventory issues, confirming entry into Raiser’s Edge, Recognition Process Management (RPM), and close communication with Senior Leaders, Rotary volunteers, Gift Officers, and International Offices for stewardship support.

You Will Have
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required
- Minimum of 2-years of experience in non-profit administration or a related field; prior donor relations or customer service experience, strongly preferred
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Effective problem-solving abilities
- Computer literacy; proficient in PowerPoint, Word, and Excel
- Experience using fundraising databases, Raiser’s Edge is strongly preferred
- Fluency in a second language, a plus
- Being a self-starter and highly organized
- Working well independently and collaboratively in a team
- Cross-cultural competencies and ability to effectively work with a global audience and team
- Ability to prioritize workload with maximum efficiency
- Provide quality customer service to high-level donors, Rotary senior leadership and staff are necessary
- Your key responsibilities will be the general administration of recognition materials for The Rotary Foundation’s major donor recognition program. Duties include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Leads process and initiates distribution of our Major Donor recognition program and recognition materials to new and increased giving donors
- Handles internal and external inquiries relating to the Major Donor premier recognition status and/or eligibility. This includes coordinating the preparation and delivery of each award through vendors and acknowledgment letters. (customizing as appropriate)
- Coordinates with Gift Administration for executor of estate gifts
- Liaises with Gift Officers and other key stakeholders in handling recognition related to worldwide cultivation and recognition events
- Training and supporting International Offices to simplify the recognition process for donors and pro-actively identify process issues and coordinate solutions
- Tracks recognition materials and forecast inventory with Procurement
- Provides customer service for visitors requiring all types of donor recognition and contributions
- Researches and interprets high volume of complex contribution discrepancy recognition transactions
- Links and equalizes relationship status for individuals/businesses
- Communicates professionally and effectively to resolve complaints from donors
