Roush is seeking a Shakedown Vehicle Evaluator who will perform initial new vehicle tests, focusing on new vehicle quality such as the fit and finish of various parts. The Shakedown Vehicle Evaluator will also seek to demonstrate that specific components function appropriately, while following an established testing process. The Shakedown Vehicle Evaluator will work primarily in a static environment with minimal on road evaluation of the vehicle. This position is in Allen Park, Michigan, and the shift is Tuesday - Friday 5:30AM - 4:30PM.

As a Shakedown Vehicle Evaluator, you will be responsible for:

  • Evaluating new vehicles for entry into the testing programs
  • Taking pictures and measurements for customer quality standards
  • Completing all customer specific check-in checklists
  • Entering all identified issues into customer database
  • Uploading pictures to customer specific program shared drive
  • Verifying vehicle Moroney label for accuracy versus database
  • Performing heated and cooled seat checks
  • Transferring vehicles to test drivers

To be considered as a Shakedown Vehicle Evaluator, you will need:

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • 1 year of automotive or previous evaluator experience
  • Good driving record
  • Proficient with computer systems, with an ability to navigate through specialized programs and accurately enter data.
  • Ability to meet deadlines and learn new programs with minimal supervision.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to compose professional reports and accurately complete required paperwork.

Preferred credential / skills:

  • 2 years of test-driving experience
  • Ability to drive a manual transmission
