JOB DESCRIPTION

Position Summary / General Description :
A Baker provides quality production of baked goods which include various pastries, desserts, confections, bread, etc., for all areas of casino restaurant outlets.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities :
Prepare food products to proper specifications.Maintain cleanliness in and around the bakeshop area, including all equipment.Accurately scale and measure ingredients within reasonable tolerances.Notify Pastry Chef when stock runs low to insure production runs smoothly, effectively, and accurately.Prepare pans for the baking of pies, cakes, and scheduled pastries.Load and unload ovens.Fill racks for transportation and storage.Properly label and store back-up products.Communicate production problems to supervisor.Prepare various pastries, desserts, confections and bread etc. as needed for all areas of casino restaurant outlets.Effectively communicate with management, chefs and service staff in order to fulfill and address any issues or needs requested by guests and or other employeesWork multiple work activities simultaneously.Must be poised to handle a fast paced environment with multiple tasks under time constraint.Communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing.Communicate regularly with the Pastry Chef.Demonstrate flexible and efficient time management and ability to prioritize workload.Meet Department productivity standards.Working knowledge of health, safety and sanitation procedures.Minimize waste and maintain controls to attain forecasted food cost.Provide assistance to the pastry chefs with regard to special functions and project preparation and presentation.Perform additional duties and responsibilities as necessary or assigned.Education & Experience
High School Diploma or GED preferred.Relevant work experience as a baker in a fast paced and high-volume bakery or restaurant.Licensing & Certification :
