Financial Analyst

Position Available: Financial Analyst

Location: Vancouver, British Columbia

Reporting to the Senior Manager, Operations & Finance, the Financial Analyst will play a critical role in analyzing business risks and opportunities, identifying areas for improvement, and developing strategic recommendations to drive operational efficiency and business growth. You will collaborate closely with various operational stakeholders, gather and analyze data, and translate complex information into actionable insights and solutions. This role requires strong analytical thinking, excellent communication skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, ever-changing business environment. The ideal candidate is driven to exceed personal and team goals, always looking to incrementally improve processes and analyses, and naturally inclined to anticipate risks, take ownership of challenges, and make sound business decisions. 

What You’ll Do:

• Work closely with the logistics, production, supply chain, and other operational departments to collect, analyze and interpret data from various sources, uncovering trends, patterns and insights to help inform performance and decision-making.
• Conduct comprehensive analyses of existing business processes, systems, and workflows to identify inefficiencies and areas for improvement.
• Partner with key stakeholders in identifying and managing risks and opportunities to maintain financial goals.
• Identify and lead initiatives to continuously improve, standardize and automate forecasting and reporting tools and processes.
• Lead and conduct monthly, quarterly, and annual forecasting activities.
• Report and evaluate key performance indicators (KPIs) of the business and provide recommendations for continuous improvement.
• Provide support in preparing ad-hoc reporting and data analysis on an as-needed basis.
• Get stuff done – be resourceful and plug in wherever needed, tackling difficult issues and challenges with an entrepreneurial mindset.
  
  

What You’ll Need: 

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
• Proven experience as a Financial Analyst, or in a similar analytical role.
• Advanced working knowledge of Excel required, with an ability to build, maintain, and update complex Excel models. 
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to think critically and provide innovative solutions.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively convey complex information to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. 
• Experience evaluating business performance metrics and translating to actionable recommendations. 
• Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.  
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
