Located in the heart of North Carolina’s Piedmont, Rowan County is attractively and conveniently nestled

nearly 1,250 employees that are committed to providing a wealth of services to County residents and
businesses.
The County is currently accepting applications for the position of IT Business Analyst III. This position
requires professional-level work in systems analysis and long-term project lifecycle management of IT
applications, including but not limited to; interacting with a broad range of clients; requiring strong
communication skills and the ability to use diverse technical resources; developing technical solutions and
improvements to business problems using data; writing new reports for Tyler EERP (MUNIS), Tyler EPT
(Energov), and other SQL-based applications to meet County department needs; creating and debugging
reports using SQL, Mircrosoft SQL Server Management Studio, SSRS and Power BI; and serving as a liaison
between business stakeholders and technical staff to ensure clear definition, understanding, and translation of
business needs into technical solutions.
Requires ability to understand data structures from various sources and utilize modem practices to facilitate
data-driven decisions with County departments; ability to perform database tuning and optimization; ability to
design, implement, and maintain relational databases; and the understanding of geo-spatial data is a plus.
Minimum qualifications include a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems,
Computer Technology or related area and four years of IT level experience; or an equivalent combination of
education and experience. Degree/Coursework must be from an appropriated accredited institution. A valid
driver’s license is required
Starting Salary $61,900 - $68,000 (commensurate with experience) and excellent benefits package available.
