Position Summary
Royal Truck & Utility Trailer, a trusted leader in the trucking industry, is seeking a driven and customer-focused Outside Parts Sales Representative to join our team. This role involves managing and expanding a customer base while delivering exceptional service and support. You will play a key role in growing our business by prospecting new clients, nurturing strong customer relationships, and collaborating with internal teams to meet client needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Travel within the assigned territory to make sales calls and build strong relationships with both new and existing accounts.
- Actively prospect new customers through cold calling and outreach.
- Develop and execute a strategic sales plan to achieve growth objectives, with regular reviews alongside the sales manager.
- Maintain strong relationships with clients by understanding their needs and providing timely solutions.
- Collaborate with internal departments to ensure customer requirements are met efficiently.
- Review and report on sales activities, new opportunities, and sales objectives with the sales manager.
- Process parts orders, confirm delivery timelines, and follow up to ensure satisfaction.
- Serve as a trusted point of contact for customers, addressing inquiries and resolving concerns promptly.
Qualifications
- Education: High School Diploma or equivalent required; post-secondary education is a plus.
- Experience: 3-5 years of sales experience, preferably in the trucking, heavy equipment, or related industries.
Skills:
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organizational and time management abilities.
- Proven ability to prospect new business and close sales.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, and Outlook).
Additional Requirements:
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
- Willingness to travel locally within the assigned territory.
- Pre-employment drug testing and background screening.
