Position Summary
The Inside Parts Sales Representative is responsible for providing outstanding customer service while assisting with truck and trailer parts needs. This role ensures that customers receive the right parts promptly while also supporting the Service and Sales Departments to maintain workflow efficiency. Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment are essential for success.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Assist customers in person and over the phone with parts inquiries, order placement, and product recommendations.
- Accurately identify and source parts based on customer needs, equipment specifications, and inventory availability.
- Process transactions, including invoicing, order entry, and payment collection.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with customers to encourage repeat business.
- Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with purchasing and warehouse teams to ensure the availability of key parts.
- Work closely with the outside sales team to support account growth and enhance customer satisfaction.
- Research and locate hard-to-find parts for customers.
- Collaborate with the Service and Sales Departments to provide necessary parts for repairs and sales transactions efficiently.
- Maintain an organized and professional parts counter and showroom.
· Stay up to date on product offerings, industry trends, and manufacturer updates.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Previous experience in truck/trailer parts sales, automotive parts sales, or a related field is required.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with a focus on delivering high-quality customer service.
- Ability to diagnose customer needs and provide solutions in a timely manner.
- Basic mechanical understanding or familiarity with truck and trailer components is a plus.
- The ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience with inventory management systems, Microsoft Office Suite, and ability to quickly learn new software.
- A self-motivated individual who takes initiative and demonstrates a strong sense of accountability.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and stand for extended periods.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; technical training is a plus.
Schedule
Monday – Friday: 7:30 AM – 5:00 PM
Saturdays: Potential future Saturday hours may be required based on business needs.
Overtime may be required based on business needs.
Compensation & Benefits
- Estimated Compensation: $60,000 - $73,000 per year, based on experience and qualifications, includes incentives upon goal achievements
