OnsiteJob Summary:
Engineering Technician to join Antenna and Microwave Products – Product Test and Sustainment team. Individual will support RF based production test sets and troubleshooting of complex modules and subassemblies along with supporting test engineers in new design and build of custom test solutions. Responsibilities include troubleshooting presently deployed test sets and associated equipment in a manufacturing environment along with performing preventative maintenance and calibrations. Other duties will include documenting procedures, processes and reporting of test sets status to be utilized in the investigation of upgrades, obsolescence and improvements to test.
Responsibilities to Anticipate:
- Troubleshoot failures on microelectronic RF modules by data analysis and visual inspection.
- Identify trends in defects and work with the appropriate teams to resolve in a timely manner to prevent future defects in the build process.
- Document failures and send to the appropriate rework operation.
- May have opportunities to troubleshoot with RF test equipment including Network Analyzers and Spectrum Analyzers depending on the job.
- May have opportunities to be involved in new test set builds.
- May be required to take on other duties and responsibilities such as test equipment coordination and test set troubleshooting.
- Other tasks necessary to meet team objectives.
Basic Qualifications:
- Typically requires a High School Diploma or AA/AS degree (or other 2-year post high school training) with 8 years of experience.
- Experience with RF/MW test equipment such as signal sources, oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, vector network analyzers and other general use test equipment. Computer Vision and/or Automation Experience
- Knowledge of microwave network measurement process (specifically S-Parameters) and application theory.
- Ability to work from schematics, test requirements including written and oral instructions.
- Test hardware assembly, integration, calibration and component level troubleshooting experience.
- Active and transferable U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
