What are the responsibilities and job description for the Accounts Payable Director position at RUDCO PRODUCTS, INC?
Position Summary:
The Accounts Payable Director position will be responsible for the oversight of all aspects of the accounts payable function and is responsible for the quality, timeliness and accuracy of information processed.
Essential Job Functions:
- Responsible for the accounts payable function, including computer entry of purchase order receipts (when applicable), the matching up of packing list, purchase order and invoice and entry of invoices into computer.
- Responsible for all cash disbursements including reviewing for accounting accuracy and obtaining proper approvals, the daily reconciliation of checkbook balances and data entry of all cash disbursements in to computer system.
- Responsible for ensuring accuracy of accounts payable files and reconciliation to A/P aging and general ledger.
- Responsible for ensuring all invoices and expense reports are posted to the correct general ledger account, company and fiscal period.
- Responsible for tax filings relating to disbursements processed through accounts payable including 1099s.
- Maintains policies and procedures related to the accounts payable function and help to develop and implements improvements to enhance the overall effectiveness of the accounts payable function.
- Maintains vendor relationships as necessary.
- Performs other duties and responsibilities as required.
Education and Experience:
- Associates degree or higher.
- Five or more years of experience in a corporate accounting role with responsibilities including accounts payable oversight and general ledger a plus.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Experience with accounting related software as well as knowledge of MS Office software, specifically Excel spreadsheets and
Word.
- Good organizational skills, close attention to detail and good problem solving ability a must.
- Must have well-developed communication and interpersonal skills and work well with others.
- Ability to work independently on assigned tasks as well as to accept direction on given assignments.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $20.00 - $22.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
